In a new installment of her Black in America series, award-winning journalist Soledad O’Brien uses graphic videos and incisive interviews to show how the lives of young men are fractured by aggressive policing. Her documentary film, BLACK & BLUE, takes us into the lives of men frisked without cause as many as 100 times, and the police officers who insist they're just fighting crime.

You and your staff are invited to attend 2014 summit on “Making Northeast Ohio Communities Safer” at the Faith Family Church on November 18, 2014 from 8:30 am- 4:00 pm. This event will provide you an opportunity to interact with your constituents and become more familiar with the many unique and positive programs offered by the Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections and Community Partners.
The summit includes a presentation by Director Gary Mohr, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. All day workshops include: Reintegration Unit Overviews, Community Service enhancing community service partnerships, Specialized Veteran Unit focusing on support and pro-social thinking, Faith Initiatives, Apprenticeships, Achievement and Employability Certificates, Offender Lead Programs, Green Initiatives, Ohio’s 3-Tier System, Making Ohio Prisons Safer, Reentry Resources in NE Ohio, Early Release Initiatives and many more.
